• Blue ball sensations DO vary from person to person. Most people do not experience extreme discomfort, but some people might. The pain should not be debilitating, but it can be distinctively uncomfortable.
• Vagina-owners can experience “blue balls” too! In fact, it’s got some of its own terms: “blue bulbs” or “blue lips”! Vagina-owners generally do not experience the same physical severity or duration of discomfort as penis-owners do, but they can still get sexually frustrated and should not be ignored.
• Blue balls typically last for at most a few hours. Some people report having them for up to 24 hours, which may not be cause for significant worry - but if they are consistently lasting any more than that, please go see a doctor! It’s possible that your vas deferens is twisted, affecting the blood flow in your genitals, which could result in your having to get a testicle removed. Be aware and careful of your body!
